For sure but even when the engine is declared good, no props exist in the world as we know it. My humble suggestion would be to pay for some clever individual to create fiberglass or composite prop blades for static museum use in exchange for dollar donation to the museum that may have "airworthyable" real blades on static aircraft. Not sure who will or can stand up to the replication of original blades. My understanding is that there are a few restorations complete but cannot fly due to the lack of prop blades.

But you know me, I'm just another Dork with a loose opinion.

I'm told a certain prolific collector in the San Antonio Texas area has quite a cache of stock BEarcat blades. Getting him to sell a set of them is quite another story...

Bearcats will not go the way of the Dodo because there are no stock blades available. Just like the Mustang, adaptations can, and likely will be made.

All he would have needed is a BFH and a concrete curb to work the edges out...

I'm not too far away, maybe I'll take a ride out. Way back in the day, Warbirds used to fly out for lunch during
Oshkosh. Been past it a few times, and in recent years, doesn't seem to be too well maintained. Even further back, I remember a falcon 50 going off the end trying to stop on a wet runway. according to airnav, it (identifyer C59) is still active,

We overflow Lakelawn on the way to OSH yesterday. The Bearcat was out on the ramp.

I could be wrong ( !), but, I always thought that the Yak 11, Race 86 "Czech Mate" has a cut down Skyraider Prop ??

im not sure, it has a 2800 in it, but it also has a -44 nose case and I have heard the it is a cutdown skyraider prop. but I thought that the hollow blades could not be cut. any know for sure?

For an experimental you could cut down the prop.

Ouch - that is a bummer. I am amazed that there are so few replacement blades out there! What would the SoCal CAF wing do if their Bearcat was nicked or whanged?

The Bearcat has been moved and appears to be in the very capable hands of Tab-Air.
The East Troy airport open house was today and she was sitting on the ramp partially disassembled. Though the morning was fogged in there were a few nice aircraft there. The aforementioned Bearcat, a Wildcat, the Taber families L-4 and L-5, even an OX-5 on a run stand. Some pics are here:

I was probably standing a few ft away from you when you took a lot of those shots lol. Too bad the weather didn't cooperate. it's always been a nice little fly in. Kenosha WI (ENW) has their version next Saturday. Chuck Greenhill usually has Geraldine and LOU IV ouside and Eric Woebling has his Miss Merced painted sea fury there too. I think he has what's left of Furias tucked away there too. Nice car show too.
