Sister ship NZ5062 still flies with the Planes of Fame at Chino, CA.........

Great photo, Jack! I love seeing our Dauntlesses. There is another in existence, a wreck sometimes displayed in an "as-found" diorama at the RNZAF Museum. Its condition isn't even close to '62!

Thanks for sharing that photo Jack, rare to see air to air of "our' SBDs. Doubt we will ever see one in New Zealand although our Air Force Museum does have a fairly crumpled wreck of one.

probably not :-( always thought someone in our Government might ask yours nicely for one since we helped you guys in the Pacific ha ha.
