I remember reading that the F7F had a longer range on 1 engine than 2 turning. I hope there was enough rudder trim to compensate!

Hornet apparently confirming the unreliability of the Merlin.

I seem to recall hearing that an aerobatic sequence was flown with both engines feathered :shock:
What an amazing machine. The ultimate development of a brilliant design.
