Yes, far more than the 300 Texans mentioned.
Heck, we have over a dozen at SFF alone...and no T-6s.

Bill posts with some frequency on the EAA forums. IIRC, the Spit project is moving forward slowly.


Bill posted an update to the EAA forum today, referencing this thread. The wings are apparently done and the engine is in the shop for rebuild. The project's pace is apparently driven by funding.
