DC-7 For Cheap?

Sun Nov 09, 2014 8:58 am

This is the one that is at the New Smyrna airport. It was supposed to be converted to a restaurant. It is the one that was on a Shipping Wars episode. The word is the money ran short. This maybe an opportunity for someone interested in DC-7's. A Coastie buddy's dad flew this specific airframe when it was with American Airlines.

Last time I seen it the tail was on. Not sure why it's off??

Just got this word below.....supposed to be more pics of it. I don't (won't) do Facebook.

There is also a Facebook page for those that are looking for it they just have to type in "DC-7 Grill"

Word has it that due the Federal Disabilities act this want to be restaurants has to conform to the regulations. That would be a elevator or ramp to get into it and the big one is a wash-room that a disabled person can use. No if or buts as to an exception to the act.

As for the aeroplane is complete from what I have seen.

Any details on this, such as condition of airframe, engines and propellers?
