B-18A crash mystery - which one was it?

Wed Sep 17, 2014 4:33 am

While searching for other aviation stuff online, I found this story from the November, 1943 issue of Air Force magazine:

Should be easy to find reference to this, right? Wrong. Baugher, accident-report.com and Aviation Archaeology have no reference to a B-18A loss around Prince of Wales Island on February 7/8, 1943 and no reference to a pilot named Oscar Cook. Do any of my fellow WIXers have any better search ideas?
