A special request, when you send them out, please, please put them in something to protect it from the world of the U S Mail..............

Greg-

Sorry you had difficulties. There does seem to be an occasional bug with the credit card authentication that is being rectified. Your transaction did go through. If anyone else experiences the problem, email me to make sure your transaction completed, but please do not submit it again, as it will double charge your card.

I hope that you will enjoy the new magazine.

Thanks Col.R

Rob-

We don't yet have PayPal, but you can send a check to the address on the website.

For those of you going to "Thunder over Michigan" look us up, we will have a booth in front of the museum on the grass.

I will also be at OSH Monday thru Sunday, if you catch me, I have a few copies of the magazine you can look at..

One suggestion Tim, the subscription page is apparently unsecured. I won't submit credit card info on unsecured pages so it might stop others. I'll see about sending a check on Monday.

Scott-

It should be secure by Monday or Tuesday. We are waiting on Versign to setup the certificate.

Hi,
Is Warbird Digest going to be readily available (off the Shelf) in the UK?

If not, is it possible to obtain a copy of the 1st issue so that I can make a decision on making a subscription?

TIA

I had to read ""(off the Shelf) in the UK? " twice before I realised you said 'off the Shelf' rather than TOP Shelf!

I had a similar thing happen today, when I picked up my post this morning and saw a scantily clad woman on the front cover of a magazine.

First thought was "Oh my god, what have I ordered now"
Second thought was "phhorrrr"
Third thought was "what will the wife say"
Fourth thought "Oh, its only the front cover of this months Flypast"

:D

To explain further, the front cover of Flypast has a large full colour image of the nose art from B-17 'Yankee Lady'

Pin-Up Model

Tue Jul 27, 2004 6:11 pm

Following the previous post:

I came back from an airshow this weekend and announced to my wife that I had my photo taken with a Pin-Up Model. I told my wife that she showed me her photo.................after a long pause.............I told my wife the model was 80 years old and her photo was in front of a WW2 P-51C.
Now I can breathe again!!!

Got my first issue of Warbird Digest today and I must say... GOOD JOB!
The issue is beautiful with amazing pictures and it's always a good sign when there is something that I hadn't even heard about, like the psuedo-stuka article. Keep up the goo work guys.

Scott, thanks for that. Glad you liked it. More on the way soon (second issue available Nov.1st), with many more exciting surprises! Jim

Thanks for the feedback Scott.

We are very pleased it has come out as good as it has and I'm delighted to be involved. As Jim put, there's more surprises in issue 2.

But that's enough about us! :D While it's hard work, it's very rewarding to see something you've written come out in print or on the web. So, a general plea; if you've never been published before, you've probably got a great story or two to tell. Get in touch with a magazine (could be any of them, but choose the one that fits your idea best) and see it they'll take it. Many of us have loads of material, but we are always hungy for more, and you'll be surprised how often we get "Oh, you probably aren't interested..." before we get some amazing gem. I'm sure DaveM2 would be the first to agree! We want your input...

Cheers,

James K
