On Sunday, September 7th we hosted the third annual Corsair Restoration Benefit Car Show. We were greeted with warm sunny weather with scattered clouds, and many many people interested in seeing the Cars and the Corsair. We sold out many of our shirt designs and varying sizes. We sold many Corsair Certificate Bonds to aid in the restoration, as well as exposed the CASC to hundreds of people that otherwise wouldn't have known about us. We also sold ALOT of baked goods from the CASC Bake tent. Both of my grandmothers and alot of other volunteer's wives have been baking like crazy for the past few weeks in preparation for the event. My girlfriend even pitched in! Dressed up in 40's garb she strolled around the show, helping take the baked goods to the people, since the tent became overrun with yellow jackets. All in all, it was an excellent day that was albeit too short. So many people to meet and chat with.

And of course we have alot of people to thank for the success of the show:

Stanziale's Restaurant
Crusin East Car Club
Town of Stratford
Stratford Army Engine Plant
All of our Sponsors
AND ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS!

You know what.. your right. I don't think we ever publicized the event on WIX! What dummies!   I was so wrapped up in doing all the social media and local flyering, that I forgot to advertise in the one place it matters most! Sorry about that guys.. Slipped away from me!

As for Simsbury, I believe we will only be there in the form of a few casual observers. Some members here and there. Im not sure what my plans are, but I definitely want to make it. The exposure was AMAZING for us last year, and we'd love to do it. But don't have the means this year. But we are thinking about 2015.

That Corvair looks sweet. Didn't see too many Little British Cars. If you guys were closer, I would have brought my '69 Austin Healey Sprite over.

The Corsair is looking better every day.

Here are some of the ones I took.

The Collings Foundation was also all weekend at the Oxford-Waterbury Airport.
