This cool video was shot over the summer when the Liberty Foundation took a group of hobbyists from northern Ohio up for the experience of a lifetime on The Movie Memphis Belle. Over it's brief history, FliteTest has opened the RC hobby to everyone from young kids to folks in retirement homes. By creating RC airframes out of common everyday materials, gone are the days of crashing hundreds of dollars and hundreds of hours of hard work into the ground....Oh, you'll still crash, but it won't crash your pocket book. Please take time to check out both the Liberty Foundation & FliteTests websites...

It's nice to see that old Tanker 68 is still going strong. The interior is a bit different than it was when I flew the airplane, but it still has the landing gear switch up by the glare shield and the elevator trim wheel that was raised several inches to make it easier to use. If it works, don't mess with it.

Before she became Tanker 68 44-83546 earned her living as a VB-17G. Here she is in Korea.

If it works, don't mess with it. That's been our motto as we keep it flying. It's a whole lot easier than trying to put it back....

The engine start and prime switches are also still on the overhead panel. It nice to be able to do an engine start from the left seat when you are the only person in the cockpit! :)
