Trying to find some more details regarding a P-51D he co- owned in the late 50s.

TJ, IIRC Stoney has mentioned in the past, that he was friends with Bob.

Yes I knew Bob, his P-51 was owned by a football player after Bob pasted, can't remember his name, he painted it black  I think someone else and then Eddie Andreni(sp) before Eddie pasted. We were both at hangar 5 at Oakland and both moved to Livermore. i crewed for him at Reno for 4 years on the camo mustang.

I think it was former SF 49er Russ Francis that bought it after Bob died. I recall seeing him fly it in the same paint scheme Bob had it in. I think the guy in Lodi that bought it from Francis is the one that painted it black, and then it was the star of that video with that horrible woman laughing as she watched it ground loop on landing with her husband(?) in the back seat!

Cliff Jolley was Bob's best man at his wedding and wingman in Korea. Wish I had a copy of Bob's gun camera film, saw it years ago. 6 and 1 he didn't get credit for.

I guess I should try to explain a little further. First of all, the 51 in question is not N576GF which he owned in the 70s through to his death, nor N8673E which went to Guatemala in 1967. I am actually looking for info on the other part- owner, who is also gone by now. I do however expect that more people hanging around in these circles might have known Love in period than the other guy...

Stoney; I guess you might have known some of the "usual suspecs" in that area. Do you know anyone who would have known Love around 1958-65? Also, by the way, did you know an A-26 owner (two 26s actually) out of Oakland in the 80s by the name George Rivera?

Bob went to the Soccer war for his friend Archie Beldocie(sp) who had a P-51 down there. They had been friends for a long time. There were several A-26s at OAK, John Crocker had one and I flew with Rivera one time in his, out of the Nut tree AP. A lot things happens at OAK at hangar 5.
