I would think a Harpoon would fit .... The Lodestar was 20ft wide and the tilt fixture got it to 18ft and 14ft 6in high. I have some pics but not sure how to post them ?

Gary with its close proximity to the aircraft, have you contacted MAM/Jerry about seeing if they were interested in it?

Its too bad that she's not closer to North Alabama to keep a plane on the ramp at my local airport its $25 a month or $75 a month to keep it in the community hanger. Is there anyone around with some land who'd be willing to let you park the plane there temporarily?

Gary,

How much is the rent? Is it negotiable? WIX may not be able to fund the move but, we should be able to pitch in and help with the rent until a solution can be found.

Regards,

Art S.

Gary,

If you can find a way to delay having to move the Loadstar for a couple months, maybe I can get a group of people together to drive up and disassemble it. Then you can ship it where you need to, or we can get it down to Project Warbird in Asheville. I'm sure we can get other WIXER"S to help with this also.

Just to check back in...I have been away due to work the last few weeks, and have made little progress with the Lodestar. I did have a museum contact me, they said they were going to go have a look at her and determine if it would be feasible to take the project on. I had quit my job due to some grievances with the folks I worked for, and was persuaded to go back to work with them once again, so have been hustling to keep up with the bill collectors...In the intrim period, I have lost my contact number with the interested party....I know..I am so unorganized....but when your house has 18 wheels, this kind of thing tends to happen...Hope to get into my new home within the next month...The folks at the airfield where the Lodestar sits, have not contacted me yet on any type of agreement, although they have told me not to worry, but I do anyway...I will contact them today and find out where I stand with them. I have had a few offers so far, but they have involved dismantling the aircraft....so still in limbo...

Airinv.....I would love to see the pictures of the rig. I believe that this may have been the same rig that was in Florida a while back.. I was hoping that I could have done the move of the Lodestar from MN. to Wa... Anyway, I would love to see the set-up and possibly rent the outfit for moving a few Lockheed products.

To all of you that have graciously offered to help out with the storage costs for Lady Lodestar, I want to thank you for your kindness. Things have turned a different direction, so I will start a new thread on the Lady's saga.
