This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I figured I'd give a sitrep to all my friends on WIX on whats going on with me lately. Most of you know that I had cancer in 2001 and while the cancer didn't get me the treatment nearly killed me. I've been struggling with the after effects of that treatment for over a decade and have had several hospital stays. Well the complications have struck again and I am on day 8 of my latest hospital stay. Things are going well and hopefully I will be out today or tomorrow and I should fully recover from the latest complications.
I just wanted to say that I appreciate all the support for me personally and the site in general. This is the 18th year of the site and it has grown far beyond my wildest imaginations. Thank you all for being a part of this growth and making this community the amazing place it is today.

WIX has its problems, but theres no place I'd rather spend time learning and enjoying the warbird field--and a large part of it is thanks to you.
Rest up and you are in our prayers Scott.

Scott - I didn't know you were a Cancer survivor. I was diagnosed in Oct 2005, spent until Oct 2006 undergoing Radiation, Surgery, Chemo, sometimes simultaneously. Most miserable year of my life. I still have side effects but none near serious enough for hospitalization.
Hang in there, and thanks for WIX

Here's hoping all your nurses were prettier than mine have ever been, and that they won't be seeing you again for a good, long time.
Take care, Scott!
Ps. I hear you're coming to OSH...
