It is truly in South Carolina. Will most likely be based at Bennetsville, S.C. but i think is currently in Cheraw, S.C. They are having a open house i believe on June 28 at the Cheraw airport which usually attracts several warbirds. YEar before last there was 2 T-6's, 2 P-51's, C-47, and a Twin Beech. The Twin Beech is no longer there and has been replaced with a T-28 so should be an exciting open house with the addition of the Corsair and 28!!!

WEll the open house was indeed this past Saturday at the Cheraw Municiple Airport here in Cheraw S.C. WEather was uncooperative until after lunch time but still a neat gathering. The newly finished Corsair did indeed fly in as well as a C-47, 2 T-28's, 2 SNJ's, P-51, Beech AT-11, several RV's and Harmon Rockets, and a Harpoon.(Baron converted to a single engine turbine)

FYI - there have been several pictures of this plane posted by a member on the FB enthusiast page titled "Chance Vought F4U Corsair".
