We have suspended work on the Aeronca O-58A after two years, 1200 man hours and $35,000 invested. The T-41B project is our major focus and is going to take much longer and cost much more than our original estimate (revised finished investment now at $85,000 to $95,000). At this time we are looking at a minimum of another six months on the T-41B and a final completion date late in the year.
We have listed the O-58A for sale on Barnstormers for $34,000 but would be willing to discount the selling price for the right museum.
Export of the aircraft could be arranged at buyers expense but we would prefer that this rare and last surviving airworthy example be kept here in the United States.
