Hey all.. Joe Musso from the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum, Pueblo, CO (
http://www.pwam.org) here wondering if anyone can help us out. We are wanting to complete our Museums (Static display) A26 Invader (44-35892). We have a few gauges to install, and still need to find the pilots gunsight, but thats about it for the main compartment. Our Radio room/gunners station is another matter as it is bare! So anyone with a periscope and all the good stuff from back there, please give me a holler!
While saying all this, we are wanting to get the planes exterior completed so visitors get the good "look", and then we will finish the interior as we are one of the few remaining Museums which allows patrons, especially kids (age IS important, we want those that the view will trigger that NEED to be involved in science or engineering!) to climb inside and get a feel for what our vets went through.. If there is anyone out there that may have either an extra top Turret cover, or the plans for one showing measurements to allow us to recreate it in our shop, and also the plans, showing measurements, for the underwing dual .50 gunpods, or if anyone has an extra gunpod they can part with, please let me know as that is another option we are needing to work up.
Additionally, we are needing to find anyone whom might have the "line Drawings" for either WWII era (PTO Shape/Size) for an Invader based on Iwo Jima, or Korean War (based originally on Iwo then Japan) shape/size Bombs, Ships, and/or Locomotive "Kill Markings" and "Mission Markers". Our Museum Member who runs our set up for the Plotter/Cutter work has said that he does not have those designs and we need them to finish up.
Lastly, if there are any of you artists out there, our Aircraft, which we have not been able to ever find any name for, is going to be named for our Restoration "Chief", who after running the Resto area for 20 plus years, passed away. So we are naming our plane the Teddy Baer (His name was Ted Baer).... We feel this is something that "works" as not only did he support the fight to keep warbird history alive, but he also was a WWII veteran. A BAR Gunner, he served with the Army during the Battle of the Bulge. So we are hoping to find someone who can give us a good start for a Bear with a p'o'ed attitude riding a 500 pounder while holding or shooting the BAR.
Any help would be appreciated and if anyone needs anything we can help with, be glad to try!! Can be reached either through this or
joemusso@pwam.org. Thanks for your time and consideration!!!!!
