37mm T-9 Cannon

Mon Feb 13, 2006 3:05 pm

Does anybody know of a source for inert rounds for this cannon (used in the P-39)? This would be a good visual aid for use when talking with visitors to the Airzoo about the aircraft. Any information greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

I believe that Fighter Rebuilders at Chino had made or made themselves 37mm solid dummy rounds for the TFC Airacobra; they may be able to help. Square One is sadly no longer in business, if I remember correctly.

From elsewhere on the internet, here is some contact info for Fighter Rebuilders:

Located at The Air Museum - Planes of Fame
7000 Merrill Ave # 17, Chino, CA 91710 (909) 597-3722

good luck

Fighter Rebuilders either made them or had them made. I think that they were turned from solid brass.

They turned them from solid brass in order to help with the CG.
