Anyone know what the new colours represent?

I just looked at some pics of the four P-47s at the POF show. Not sure which one you're talking about, but two of them were in 78 FG markings, one in 56 FG, and Hun Hunter seems to be a 12 or 15 AF subject (I'm not really up those 12 or 15 AF so really can't say).

Planes of Fame P-47G, last wore 'Spirit of Atlantic City' markings.

Two white and black checked nose are 78thFG. Gun Hunter is 12th AF 65th FG and the red nose on POF looks like Fourth FG

No, it's 56 FG.

Pretty sure that PoF simply overpainted parts of the "Bud" Mahurin scheme the Jug normally carries in order to give it a new look for the recent airshow. (And maybe to celebrate the upcoming D-Day celebrations.)

Just a guess! :) Didn't see a SQ code in one of the photos.

Now with the red nose, before with the white nose.
