It was a very gusty day I suspect that may have had something to do with this. I'm glad the pilot is OK. Planes can be rebuilt people can't

So glad to hear Jim is ok. I'm hoping he doesn't have any serious injuries. That's what really matters. It's comforting to know the plane is fixable. But it's most important to know Jim will be fine.

A good day considering.

Did anyone actually watch that pi$$ poor reporting on this incident from the link above.

Have you ever seen anyone stupider than those news people. "Hard to believe they will fly that tomorrow" and "Surprisingly, the plane wasn't seriously damaged" are just a few of the ridiculous quotes in that report. OMFG. They are idiots.

Glad Jim is OK.The reporting has to be some of the dumbest I have ever heard. These people just don't bother to get the facts right. They don't care, its the story and that's it. What MORONS.

At least it was not as badly damaged as the last time........
To those that are harping on the media, do you really expect them to do their job ? I mean after the last 2 elections, you should know better.

The reporter obviously confused the fact that the show will go on the next day and not that this particular bird would fly then. But they are reporters...

anyway good that Jim was not hurt. Aircraft can be fixed...

Statement from their Facebook page:

Quote:
We would like to just say that tonight has been a very long night thanks to all our friends this morning. It sure has been a long 7 hours for us . Jim is sore and will be felling the stiffness in a few hours.

Korean War Hero is now tucked away in a hangar , and soon we will figure out all the when , where, and how we will get her back in the Air in the near future. She is a Very Strong Lady and she will be back better than ever.

Jim , Shelley and I would like to just say how professional all the Firefighters , Epps Aviation Crew , Crane and Recovery crews along with all that are tied to the Good Neighbor days air show at Peach tree Dekalb in Atlanta Ga.

I would also like to say THANKS to Team Aerodynamix pilots , Greg and Travis for jumping on the golf cart to help out where ever we need.

We at the Korean War Hero Family would like to say that the overpowering text , phone calls , emails and Hugs at PDK tonight really touch each of our hearts .

This is why we share her with so many different people from different walks of life. We will be absent from shows in the future and we look forward to bringing her back to each and everyone of you that has support us through the years.

Good night to some , good morning to others.

Thank you for all the Love and Support

Grady Lisk

Again, great news that Jim is OK.

Thanks for that Dan, that is relieving to hear. What a phenomenal family, I wish them all the best and the speediest of recoveries.

For what its worth. If ever I see a news line about an aircraft incident I don't EVER click on links to the news article. I go straight to wix. First the news NEVER get anything right. Second, I know there is a good chance someone on here is involved with the pilot and plane and I will get more accurate and correct facts about these things here.

I've been friends with the Tobul family for over25 years and when I saw the title of this my heart stopped. I am so very glad that Jim is OK. I don't care about the damage to the plane.
