Control Sticks & Grips, Various odds and ends,Oil Tanks, Main Gear parts, a couple of Ranger Engine Mags (Cores). Got them all from an Estate. They appear to be left over parts from a wreck or restoration. Let me know your interests and I can send the list and pictures onto you. I am just outside O'Hare Int'l
I need to find a PT-19 Pitot Tube for my UC-61K
thanks!

Hi Kurt
We are over at Clow in Bollingbrook Hangar 2 next to the museum. I will send you the photo's right away.
I already spoke with Jay in Tampa, he has allot of pitot tubes, but not the one I need for the PT-19.
I'll send you an email, I am sure we can meet up in the near future to look and talk planes.
Jim

Jim - are any of your PT19 parts still available? I have recently acquired a PT26 project, and I need seats, tail feather fairings, and the same pitot tube that you are looking for. I also have a spare PT19 frame, Ranger engine mount, center section hardware, etc, that I can part out, or sell as the basis for a new project, by collecting more parts. Thanks, Bob

I am brand new to the forum, so I don't have PM privileges yet, apparently. Working on it. Anyway, still interested. I have a '42 PT-26 project that I just acquired that is fairly complete, so I'm chasing down some of the "odds and ends." It was built in Maryland but went straight to Canada for service - financed by the British - FH 845. One of the items missing is the pitot tube - hence your posts caught my eye.

Hi Bob
Any luck finding a pitot tube for the PT-26? I am still searching. I think I may have found one, but the owner may be reluctant to sell now, as his price is quite astronomical!

Progress moving forward on the UC-61K. Ranger is now together waiting for install. Painting has begun! (only 14 years of weekends in restoration) Lower surfaces is now being painted and camouflage is getting ready to go on the upper surfaces. Then we can put the British Roundels on.
She should look pretty close to the way she did with the RAF in 44-45!

If you can post a couple of photos of the PT19/26 pitot tubes, (& dimensions, if you have them) I know there is a crate of misc parts on the shelves in the back. If you post a photo that looks familiar, I'll see if I can find the box, that had some old NOS pitot tubes. Used to remember what they were, but too long ago, now..Have some oil tanks for radials, and some classic/pre-war Airboxes etc. Mostly Civil stuff, but had quite a bunch of PTs, over the years..I think I have a few Original manuals for the PTs and Rangers, , but seem to recall some of them were dirty/used. Will look.

UC61K - I haven't had any luck in the various little treasure troves of parts. I have located a pair of wooden seats (thank goodness), now I am pretty much down to the wing fillets, and fairings around the tail feathers.

Barnbstormer - has anyone posted a picture or diagram yet? If not, I will start working on it.
