That was my first thought. I wonder if he'll buy another Hawker Hart replica or another Storch as well, since he already bought a Rapide with the exact same paint scheme to replace the one he sold.

(Disclaimer: previous sentence not intended as an indictment on the way Mr. Yagen runs his organization, so don't take it that way).

Hope they have better weather for the show this year. The weather sucked last year! I was glad I wandered the airfield Friday night when the weather was nice. It was a bummer not getting to see much fly, but it was still a great trip.

Nice! I'll be trekking down for it again this year (5th straight). Looking forward to seeing the Mossie fly this time.

Me too! Missed out last year with the rain, and I could not make the Friday practice. Have not seen the mossie fly yet, but it was awesome the access they provided to it (and all aircraft at the MAM) They even let kids in the cockpit! No ropes here!

The Mosquito flew as recently as last Monday. Hoping for good weather both days of the show, they can definitely use it!

You said it! As access to the aircraft go the MAM is the best I've ever seen.

Although the Mossie didn't fly due to WX, it was very cool of them to do the engine run ups for the crowd down by the hangar. Jerry Yagen definitely gets it when it comes to trying to show the guests a good time.

My only complaint about the show is the pattern that the higher performance Warbirds are forced to fly at the far end of the field. I guess this is due to the houses on the other side of the tree line across from the hangars...although that didn't stop the CWH Lanc' from making some pretty fantastic passes down the runway. Man, those guys fly that like they stole it!

Whitey, that's an FAA regulation... and if I recall correctly, the Lancaster was "forced" to execute a missed approach pass and climb out. Three times. Ahem.

We are getting very excited- looks like rain on Friday but Saturday and Sunday are shaping up to be quite nice, according to the weather priests.

Providing close personal access is fantastic, but one must be mindful of what these majestic machines are; painstakingly restored and maintained pieces of history. When MAM was having its rough patch last year, there was an image of some people wandering through one of the hangars, and there was a young boy hanging off the Rapide's aileron. I cried when I saw it.

Ahhh, yes...love the missed approach.

Those darn dinosaurs keep wandering onto the runway.

I'm prepared to swear in court that I saw 2 deer, a giraffe and a unicorn on the runway, forcing the pilot to miss his approach!!

Also, they may or may not have been forced to execute a steep climbing turn at a high angle of bank to "avoid infringing restricted airspace". Twice. You know, just to be on the safe side.

Executing textbook missed approaches, airspace avoidance... those Canadians sure know how to make safety look AWESOME.
