This is the airplane flown by Maj. Gen. Wilson V. Newhall. the N-number appears to be NX6970# and it sports the race # 65. I am trying to figure out which P-63 this is.

N# is N69702, but no idea which serial.

I have N69702 listed in my notes as MAYBE 43-11725. Do we have a Kingcobra expert out there who can confirm this, and what ultimately happened to it?

I have two other sources that both list this one as 43-11725.

In 1948 it was 8th in the Sohio, and 3rd in the Tinnerman.

N69702's Service ID Number was actually 43-11730, Bell Manufacturer Build Serial Number 33-12

This aircraft has a long history and still exists today.

Good day!

Excellent search! You're right on the money! Bell P-63E 43-11730 was an x FAH 402 in better days. It is now in storage at Falcon Field, AZ. Do you have pics of how it looks on this May 2014???

p.s Scott Tks for the pic ... I found it again!!
