Saw a preview of the NBC show "The Blacklist" with a head on shot of an invasion striped C-47 landing, with a voice over of someone saying something about Germany, do'nt know if there's going to be any other warbirds. pop2

FYI... that would be the American Airpower Museum's C-47, Second Chance. The aircraft will be flying D-Day paratrooper flight experiences this coming Memorial Day, May 26 at the Museum's home on Republic Airport in Farmingdale, NY First mission launches at 1100. Seats are still avaialble for anyone interested in flying aboard this vintage warbird for a truly poignant historical experience. Check out the Museum's website here for details.

Sorry, don't know if any other warbirds are featured. Best info I have is that our C-47 will appear tonight and on the May 12 episode as well.

More extensive filming at Farmingdale than I thought! C-47 has star and stripes painted out. Looked great. Who was flying for the shoot? Too bad F-14's aren't being flown anymore! ;)

 well, it was great to see the 'ol gal ! Too bad "Maverick" & "Goose" shot her down! Maybe they "rented" the F-14 from the Iranians ? it'll be interesting to see the wreck (?) they used next week. So much for Hollyweird, at least they have great taste in warbirds!!

I'm thinking CGI or some form of photographic trickery. Just saw the airplane this past Sunday while working at the Museum... stripes are still there.

Probably water paint. Our green Kate was "painted" silver for the filming of "Pearl Harbor". Removal was a little ammonia and a power washer, kinda pain in the ass and screwed up the ramp for a while.

I don't know about the video, but that still frame above shows the aft fuselage very obviously and crudely photoshopped.
