A trip to Leon's

Friday I had to go to Indiana to pick up a F-86 drop tank I bought. On the way back home, Leon Cleaver invited me to view his airplane treasures. Leon is a really nice gentlemen and it was a real treat to have him show me around his yard. Thanks Leon, I hope we can meet up again!




Leon liked my tank and helped me secure it a little better in my rental.

wish i had known. i was off that day & live 15 minutes from their. would have loved to have met you. i've known leon over 20 years.

Back around this time in 2008, I had the pleasure of meeting both Leon and Tom.

Both could not have been nicer gentlemen, both gave their time and showed me around their neck of the woods.

Today I had the pleasure to meet Leon and view his aircraft. I must say Leon is very friendly, knowledgeable. I spent about 3 hours there today and im sure I could have spent a lot more time there. Leon told me some most interesting stories. Leon thank you for allowing me to meet you and view your collection.

I'm looking forward to coming up in July or August to pick up the HUP-2. Can't wait to see Leon and talk airplanes.
