Today was the last day Fantasy of Flight was open to the public.
The future there seems uncertain.
Not knowing when I might get there again, I attended their 17th annual Mustangs and Mustangs event yesterday.
Have been to many of the Mustangs and Mustangs events over the years and have been there with many friends other times too.
Will miss this mecca in Orlampa, FL. Thank you and good luck to Kermit and crew.
Here are some photos from yesterday.

The Fantasy of Flight Facebook indicates they are hoping to have a smaller museum attraction open this fall so all is not lost! Hoping to make my way down there this time next year.

They are going to use some of this time to restore more aircraft into flying condition and hope to reopen sometime later on at first as more of an aviation museum for a lower price, then maybe later on down the road make it more of a big attraction again.

That explains why I saw all the Ford Mustangs of various years at the I-4 rest stop just east of FOF Saturday. I was on my way to Sun N Fun and they had quite a few classic cars there too.

What P-51s showed up at FOF?

I saw "E Plurbus Unum" return to Sun N Fun Saturday night after I hadn't seen it since Tuesday. Old Crow (D Model) and Obsession were at Sun N Fun Friday but didn't see them after that

We were there last week. Just a few in this gallery on my FB account...should be viewable by all.

I was REALLY glad he flew the Wildcat the day we were there, as I'd not had the opportunity to see any of the Grumman 'Cats fly before.
