Bob Dorr is hardly a 'pad it out' type author and most of the photos in the article are available but hardly 'often seen'.
He does use information from the Rau report because it IS the subject document and the reference material, and Rau is given his props in the article.
I would suggest you read 'Mission to Berlin' and 'HellHawks' by Mr. Dorr.
