I was there in 2011 and some of the scenery is the same and some has changed. Trees are a lot bigger. :roll:

That will have been the XP-82...Walt only did have one fuselage from that one (plus a few other bits). I think by 2003 the intact EF-82E (ex-NACA) was already with the Amjet collection in MN. When I visited in the early 80s the XP parts, plus the hulk of a P-63A Kingcobra, were inside the B-36...

The XP is being rebuilt by Tom Rielly..as I recall, his team planned to use the existing fuselage as a pattern to build the missing one.

I never realized Walt was able to score the B-36 for 99 cents..what a bargain!
