Here's a short video of the new build Gnome Rotary engine that will be commercially available from New Zealand. Engine #1 is in final assembly, and we have a deposit on engine #2 for our Sopwith Camel replica. The video shows valve and cam timing actuation - for a 100 year old design, it is quite mechanically elegant and simple.
So very cool.

It's ALIVE!

This is Engine #1 which will be going on an Australian Eindecker. We are in line for engine #2 for our full size Sopwith Camel. The Gnome 9B-2 was original equipment on some Camels, so we have an expected performance level.
This is just so cool.
