Tube for Early 12.5" Tailwheel? (not Mustang style)

Sun Feb 09, 2014 7:02 pm

Hi guys,

Just taking a shot in the dark here, but would anyone know a source for tailwheel tubes for the earlier-style 12.5" tailwheels?

Dessler has tubes available, but the filler stem is bent at a 90 degree angle for the 5-bolt Mustang style rim.

We are looking for the earlier style with the straight filler stem, as seen below.

If none are available, we'll have to try and find a newer-style rim...

Thanks in advance!

As part of the static restoration I'm doing, I searched the net and found the smooth 10.00 SC tire online at Desser Tire. I would guess they would have the correct inner tube for the early style T-6 tail wheel. ( http://www.desser.com/ )

Let me know where you find yours. I'll need one eventually but will probably settle for an implement tire tube.

Good Luck!
