Partly true, we did loan them a Coolant Pump though.
Miss Velma suffered a seal failure on the main coolant pump. They found a large puddle of coolant under her at the airport one morning.
I pulled one off a spare engine and they flew down from Canada in Rod's PC-12 and picked it up. Steve and John H installed it.
Ed flew on to Greenland IIRC and then to Scotland where he was stuck due to fog for several days.
He eventually made it to Duxford and all on Jim's coolant pump.

Here's a great write up on the state of play with the three, yes three Mosquito projects underway with Glyn and AvSpecs.

http://www.warbirdsonline.com.au/2014/02/11/de-havilland-mosquito-restorations-in-new-zealand/

Maybe if the buyer of Glyn's has very healthy funding (which you would need to take it on to start with), the rate of completion could increase.

Its pretty well known that a US based Mossie is at AvSpecs to get a new wing to mate to the original fuse under resto, but it now seems as though a new fuse is in order too.

Who could the other un named collector be. US based? Apparantly the reason the UK deal to purchase Glyn's one fell through was due to issues with getting registration, owing to the new build status of the structure, since it wasn't inspected at various stages by the UK regulatory body during build. If They can inspect during build, they have better grounds on which to award certification.

Okay, lets see if I can count to five.

Windsor static example
Gerry Yagen. KA114
Paul Allen. The original plan was to use the existing fuselage. Clearly this is not happening.
Glyn Powells own machine.
Hmmmm. I can only count to four

Any thoughts WIXers?

The fifth one mentioned in the article for an unidentified collector. Guess away!

UK - The Flying Mossie Trust who tried unsuccessfully to get Glyn's?
US - Comanche? Lewis? he supposedly tried to get MAM's last year. FoF? Weeks wants to get his up, would it just be easier, quicker and more cost effective to get a new fuse for his.

The information about the additional Mosquito airframe might well be correct.

However, I would advise extreme caution. The author of the web article in the link has a long track record, here and elsewhere, of spreading deliberate disinformation and inventing spurious 'discoveries'

A B-32, a P-61 project for Paul Allen in a storage yard in Manchester, UK, a long and ignominious saga involving supposed satellite photos of Syrian Spitfires, Skyraiders and R-3350s out of Vietnam, containers full of Mosquito parts supposedly being stolen from him in Australia, the list goes on.
