Here is a 10 year old photo of the nose art.

And here is an even older shot of it attending the Valiant Air Commands, TICO airshow sometime in the 90s.
Not sure of the date.

Hey Jim,

Having fun in chilly, rainy Punta Gorda? I was there this week on family business but I wasn't able to come out to the airfield to say Hello (my Mom's dying and in hospice care, and we were there to see her one last time before dementia takes her mind completely). I heard one of the bombers fly over my parents' house on Wednesday afternoon, but I wasn't able to get to the window fast enough to see which one. That wonderful sound brought a big smile to my face and lifted my spirits, and I sure needed it.

I'll see ya in the D/FW area in a few weeks! We should go get a beer while you're here... :)

Sorry about your mom Dean...glad we were around to provide some therapy. Its been raining for 3 days straight and probably not going to let up until Sunday. Hopefully we will get in to Ft Myers tomorrow. Here are a few sunny days...including the last sunset before the front set in.

That last shot of Witchcraft is incredible! This one of my favorite threads on WIX. Thanks for taking the time to post pics!

I don't know about what they were trying to film, but the wind had to be horrendous without any wind screen in front?

You're not wrong there Roger! I once flew in a camera ship with the canopy removed. Once - never again. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but I spent most of the flight trying to stop my eyelids turning inside out.

That open air camera position is exactly how people like Paul Mantz, Elmer Dryer and Frank Tallman use to do it!

We are over in Europe for the 10 day break...having a look at a few significant WWII sites. We started in Amsterdam and will be working our way through Bastogne and back into paris.

Wow, Jim. I'll join the chorus here and say...nice photos!

I just lost 3 hours of my evening looking at them. Nice motivation for us young dreamers. :)

Thanks for sharing!
