Wait - how'd this work, there wasn't really a guy in the nose of a '38 was there? :shock: Dang it, that's all the time I have tonight, wonder if somebody could point me to the story or give a quick summary?

Oh yes. I've even seen films of Ike touring England in the nose of a Droop Snoot.

Wow, that's amazing. I've done time around '38's before, never woulda thought there's enough room up front, wow again! :shock:

Bet it'd be a FUN RIDE though -- zooom!! 8)

You want a "compact and bijou" crewed P-38 nose, try fitting a complete H2X scanner, indicator console and operator in there... ;)
IIRC they had to reuse the original pre-production sets as they were in more seperate bits so could be fitted in a smaller space.
