T6-G Static Dischargers

Hello All,
we found on our T6-G (ex USAF, ex Spanish Airforce) Static Dischargers on all Control Surfaces. However the USAF Partsmanual does not show any. Were they refittet later or is there a generell T.O. ?

Any experience with or without them?

Hello Stefan,
My ex Spanish Air Force AT-6D also had these Static Dischargers on all of its control surfaces.
When I re covered the control surfaces I did not re install any of them as they also were not in any T-6D/SNJ-5 Manual.
I have been operating this aircraft and others for years now in all kinds of weather and have never even needed them.
All electronics and radios operate normally and without any interference.

this helps indeed. I also think that the newer Avionics are less prone to interference than the 1950s Radios. So i think we will go the same way you did.
