P.S. meant to say that David Collins of the DH Hornet restoration knew of large parts of Firefly still onsite from UK high ground wrecks, he was looking at recovering them and swapping for Hornet parts that somebody has/had (maybe yourself ?)

While a long way a way & sort of still at war with Ethiopia, parts are still sitting (well one complete aircraft & possibly 2 fuselages) of ex Ethiopian Firefly's at Asmara, Eritrea. If they were Spitfires/P51/P47/P38 etc they would have been recovered a long time ago !

Yes I know the sites you mean,i have visited the many years ago .
I did have a chunk of Sea Hornet that has now found a home with David Collins.

Yes that is a FMk1 Seahawk cockpit ,the oldest chunk of Seahawk in existence (Third production seahawk).
