Thanks for covering the most forgotten, dismal place to fight a war making do with mostly castoffs and lots of 'send it North, just get it off my airfield' junk. Keep the photos in mind when you watch 'Deadliest Catch'

Thanks Mark. The photos of the snow covered planes could have been taken today in the Chicago area after the 17" we received!

The crews who flew up in the Aleutians must have had steel balls. I can't even imagine what it would be like to fly in those conditions, let alone have to worry about as hostile enemy.
