Good-day to all, and happy new year!

Long time lurker here. First-time post. My Dad had frequented these forums prior to his passing. His Name was Lowell (L.Thompson).

I have some questions regarding the T-6 displayed in the following link:
http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/ph ... 02200.html

First off, I don't believe that 'N3270' is the correct registration. I believe this is the aircraft which collided with a Cessna 340, on May 1st 1987, killing (4). I believe the aircraft displayed in the above link, is correctly N711SQ an SNJ-4.

See details on the accident:

So, my questions are this. Who might have more information on this particular aircraft? I know it was used by Rosie O' Grady's Flying Circus, and was their sole Skywriter. It operated out of, and near Orlando Florida. However, I know very little of it's past prior to being operated as such. Furthermore, I have not seen many other photos to speak of. And finally, what became of the salvaged remains of the aircraft, after the accident?

Any help toward answering these questions would be much appreciated.

Best to all!
- Joseph

Looks like they had at least the T-6, a Stearman, a couple of balloons and some Ag-planes in their stable.

N3270 had its certificate last issued in 2005, and first got its airworthiness certificate in 1970:

http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry ... ertxt=3270

http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/AirframeDos ... meSN=23657

N711SQ was deregistered in 1989:

http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry ... rtxt=711SQ

http://www.warbirdregistry.org/texanreg ... 27433.html

I think it is clear that these are two different aircraft and that the photo suggesting that the Rosie O'Grady T-6 was N3270 is in error.

I suggest you click on the 'Contact Peter Nicholson' link on that page and let him know your thoughts. I'm sure he would appreciate your correction.
