This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Just "futsing around" on Google Maps when I came across the Salisbury–Ocean City–Wicomico Regional Airport in Maryland. It appears that in the SE corner of the airfield, in a large clearing their appears to be an intact Beech 18 / C-45 with no engines. Also what appears to be a large wing section is also nearby. PBY perhaps? Anyone have any info?

If you want to see real warbird stuff, You should look inside the large warehouse on the west side of Airport Road, adjacent to the approach end of runway 14. Here are a couple photos:

I don't think it's a PBY; the nacelles are too far apart. Could it be an Albatross center section, upside down?

It has been awhile but I saw the hulk of an SA-16, used to be there as part of the parts business.

The warehouse is part of Charlie White's operation; a well known source of warbird parts. He also has a lot of things for SA-16's. The Collins people, FIFI, Diamond Lil and others get parts from him.
