You might search ebay and amazon for the movie "The Wing". It was all about the bitburg eagles right after the transition from the phantom.

Nice pic. One of my best friends in the AF, Capt.Jeff Roether, was killed exactly 31 years ago today while on a Zulu Alert Tango Scramble out of Bitburg. Jeff was a good stick and an outstanding officer. He went down in F-15C 80-0025. Trying to find a photo of this kite.

Good day!

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your best friend near BAB! heard of a few fatal accidents in F-15As also. I'd like to dedicate these pics in their memory!!

p.s Found another night shot of an F-15A no S/n known for now. Bravo sector. c. 1978! Photo MD/USAF. (Looks quite similar!)
