Moorabbin Air Museum - change of management and updates

Tue Dec 03, 2013 4:05 pm

Hi everyone

Recently there have been some changes at the Museum, with a new board elected including myself as Secretary and respected restorer Ashley Briggs as Chairman. The previous chairman had a tenure of 13 years, and we wish him all the best and hope he enjoys some well earned rest ! The outgoing Secretary is Mark Pilkington and I also thank him for his excellent service over the last seven years. Mark is staying on as a Councillor which is great as his knowledge and experience is invaluable.

No denying it, we have our work cut out for us, and a lot will need to be done. But we are ready for the challenge and rolling up our sleeves to get to work.

There will be a new website in the new year - patience required on that as I have to do a pretty massive overhaul and am testing other exciting things to accompany that.

But in the meantime, for those that cannot get there due to distance etc, we have set up a new Facebook page for those on social media etc. Plenty of pics including some excellent historical shots of aircraft and past staff.

It's here - https://www.facebook.com/moorabbinairmuseum

Enjoy and thanks for all the support, it's greatly appreciated

Regards

Ewan McArthur
Secretary
