And if you like dark meat or light meat, I have both ...

Remember to give thanks for what you do have and forget what you don't have, chances are you don't need it anyway.

A number a years ago myself and Carl had just that, it was a nice Thanksgiving day, mid 70s, both of us were at the airport and decided it was too good a day to be on the ground. As we were taxiing the T-6 to the run up pad, we spotted a Spitfire low against the foothills as he turned in to make a low pass at Deer Valley. We both said if only we had been a few minutes earlier. After we took off we turned north and asked for a frequency change and the tower replied, frequency change granted, and said that the Spitfire is waiting for us to the north on common frequency. We got hold of the Spitfire and it turned out to be Chris Woods and his MkXVI Spitfire. We formed up and spent some time flying formation that concluded with a attempted formation low pass back at Deer Valley. I say attempted because when Chris put the nose down, we were left sitting behind like we were not moving, Carl put everything to the stops but we could not catch up.

We had a very memorable flight on that Thanksgiving morning.

Again your always welcome and mucho appreciate the kind words, but again my part is always the easy part, you dudes and dudettes are the one's who get all the props for filling in the blanks. I've learned more about these old airplanes we all love just by posting a few photos, sitting back and reading the great stuff ALL YOU FOLKS post. I could never post enough photos to remotely make up for the valuable information you guys have generated. Keep up the great work.

All your valuable input and information is what makes my thanksgiving thankful. :drink3:
