Captain Christopher Lyman "Maggie" Magee was another RCAF pilot who transferred to the USMC after America got into the War. He was awarded a Navy Cross and shot down 9 Japanese aircraft. Was the second highest scorer at VMF-214. His first cousin was RCAF Pilot Officer John Gillespie Magee the author of the poem "High Flight".

Cheers,

Tom Walsh.
