That's fabulous!
Congratulations on a fine, and I'm sure fun, achievement.
According to the specs, I figure this replica must be bound for Reno, :lol: it has more than twice the horses of the original.

It's nice that (other than the engine) the builders tried to keep it as original as they could. Well done. :drinkers:

I think they've derated it with a rev limit or something of the sort. Just did a short article on it for Aviation History Magazine, but my notes are upstairs and I'm well into a Manhattan.

Horsepower doesn't mean that much in those type of aircraft, inch-pounds or displacement is more important.

Apparently, when TVAL made a repro German WW1 engine, it had noticeably more HP than the original, due to better tolerances etc. :?
