Original Fw-190A-5 and IL-2M3 Shturmovik. Absolute legendary day at FHC this afternoon. The highlight was when Steve Hinton was flying the 190 behind Ross Granley in the IL-2, right on its tail, "jinking" left and right.

Around 3:00 this afternoon, I saw an AH-1 Cobra helicopter engaged in some "spirited" low-level maneuvering around Lake Lewisville. Cool stuff!

The Virginia National Guard stopped by the Military Aviation Museum a couple of weeks ago. They were in the neighborhood, and we have a nice field, so they "dropped in" with 4 Blackhawks and all their crew. We gave them a nice tour of the museum, and then it was back to Richmond.

Sunday afternoon 10.6, I saw both a D-Day striped painted C-47 and a B-25 (light was not good enough to see paint) flying east of downtown Dallas.

Anyone know what that was about?

Depending on the time it may have been Devil Dog going home from the McKinney open house and the Cavanaugh Flying Museum C-47 doing the same thing. I think DD left about 1500.

The B-25 I saw was flying a westerly heading (more less over White Rock Lake) at about 6:00 o'clock. It was preceded by about 15 minutes, on more or less the same route, by the C-47.

Just after 3:00 PM today, an eastbound P-51D passed over my house. I didn't get a good look (saw it out the window as it was going away from me) so couldn't make out any markings on it.

Tigercat flew over my house just now, inbound to Ksat. Glossy blue, one of Lewis' fleet I presume.
