Correct pronunciation of Caudron

Tue Oct 01, 2013 6:31 am

I usually hear it pronounced like a witch's cauldron without the L, but I've also heard it pronounced as Ca-Drone with the emphasis in the second half. Which way is correct?

And let me try to explain it to an American:

you take the "cou" from "could"
the "dr" from "drive"
the "o" from "oh"
you take the "n" and let it sound a bit link the "ng" from "wrong", but you swallow it more.
Should produce something vaguely resembling the right pronunciation.

You can use google translate. Write caudron in the area to be translated. Then use the button at the bottom right of the window.

The word to be translated must be written as a French word to translate into English.
