I was there and saw this unfortunate incident. Thank God Tom was ok!

I was in the main spectator area outside the hangar so I was pretty far away when it happened, but it looked like the left main tire blew shortly after it touched down. Maybe that drag could have caused the nose-over and the hard right rudder to try to correct.

My two daughters (ages 12 and 9) were there with me and were very excited to see Marine's Dream at the show. We had just seen the Disney movie "Planes" a few days earlier. This movie prominently features a Corsair character.

Hope repairs are quick and she's flying again asap!

Chuck

It was not a blown tire. Tires were just fine. It was towed off the runway and all tires were ok.

The only casualty was a seat cushion, which remains missing.........

Greg,

Thanks for the correction. I was really curious as to what actually happened, and I'm glad you're available to help with facts.

Take Care,

Chuck
