This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

No more real big news as of late. Focus is currently on running wiring, installing the last few odds and ends pieces of structure, polishing, and figuring out how the heck to get the new engines on. The second one is supposed to show up either today or early next week.

I agree with the stickiness, but at the same time a few threads like Texas Raiders and FIFI ought to be unstuck. I feel that once an aircraft is flying again the thread should be unstuck. Just sayin'. But I look forward to following DOC's return to flight.

Make DOC STICKY!
I very much and enjoyed FIFI re-engine thread and looked forward daily for new post on it progress, I would love to see that done for Doc also. It could attract more people or money for the project.
Here’s my story on FIFI, after reading and watching all about her and learned that when she was started to tour again and would be in Reading, PA. (About 4hrs away) I had to see her in person, I told my wife about the air show coming up in a few months and would really like to go, she said lets go, knowing that, I said their a plane I would really like to take a flight in, she said, do it! At that time I had 2 kids in college and money was tight, but I really wanted to see and ride in her. The next day I booked a spot on FIFI. On June 4, 2011 we drove to Reading, took in the show, took my flight and had one great day!!! Before are flight we were all standing around FIFI, I walked over to Dave Miller, shook his hand and told him thanks for all the posts and updates he had put here on WIX.
People do read and enjoy seeing all the work that’s going on to keeping these birds flying, I just wish I could help in person, reading and seeing pictures is all I have to keep updated on what is going on in the warbird community.
Thanks to all who work in these planes.
Barry
