Was quite looking forward to it, was bored endlessly by it. Watching a dot zip around was like watching gnats. I took the other times he flew as an opportunity to rest my eyes.

On 8-11 airknocker posted a video slide show that has been removed. I wanted my son to see it so he could hear the music that went with. Does anyone know who performed, and the title of the song?

The music is listed at the bottom of the info box under the video. M83-Jacks' Dream, and Pink Floyd-Learning to Fly.

It was a coyright problem which caused pulling of the original video. The revised version is an improved creation. If you want more of this young man's videos:

Most optimistic question we got all week was, "are there any Hawker Typhoons on the field?"

Not sure I should post any more after seeing Eric's samples - guess my 6.2 MP Pentax is pretty old hat these days :(

Here's a few just because I have them:

On Saturday they had Aluminum Overcast fly down the runway during the Tora routine in deference to the B-17 crew(s) who showed up in the pattern at Hickham just as the raid started:

More super photos Chris. Keep them coming please!

Isn't it neat that 43 years after the film was made that this many of the Tora aircraft are still flying and displaying together as a team. There must have been generations of pilots pass through the team by now?

Awesome photos! Thanks for posting. It's really nice to see that Cessna Bobcat/Crane flying.

That filthy Skyraider looks cool too.

Garbs, you have nothing to be shy about. You got some great shots. I wish I could have been there on Saturday to catch the B-17. That looks really great.

This is what I'm talking about. Wish the CAF P-40 was glued to the Tora team. I think it adds a tremendous amount of excitement when the "home town" team gets a plane in the air to combat the overwhelming forces. Wish she was flown exclusively with the Tora team to every show.

Didn't realize they weren't always together - the P-40 really adds to the show. It flew with them last year at OSH too - I remember disparaging remarks in this forum about paint inaccuracies  Nathan Truninger posted better photos from a similar angle back on page 11 - I wonder if he was the guy standing next to me with the humongous digital camo lens or the guy sitting in front of me with the humongous digital camo lens. We were right near the tail of a Beech 18 IIRC.

Don't think I posted these - sorry if they're duplicates:
