Sunday's warplane sightings:

USN Beech T-6B Texan II taking off from Fort Worth Alliance Airport (KAFW).
USN Beech T-34C Turbo Mentor taking off from Fort Worth Meacham Field (KFTW).
Neils Agather's beautiful USN-marked Beech C-45H landing at KFTW.

Wow... it must've been "USN Beech Day" in Fort Worth! :D

(Also saw a USAF C-17 parked on the transient ramp at KAFW)

Just watched "Fifi" and "Diamond Lil" depart Oshkosh! Not every day you get to see both of them in flight within 10 minutes of each other :)

That may have been a Mallard instead of an Albatross that I described above. I was across the field, too far for n number. But turboprop for sure.

A pair of Marine helicopters (Cobra and UH-1N Huey) flew past Bristol Motor Speedway around 2:45 pm on Thursday, August 15th, 2013.

Image

Wasn't able to get a decent shot of the Cobra.
Just a shot of the pair as they headed off in a northwesterly direction.

A little later in the day I was in downtown Bristol and caught this helicopter doing circles around the city.

I spotted the Raiders Demo Team heading to the Greenwood Lake, NJ Airshow yesterday.

About 6pm I heard the sound of radials and looked up to see three Yak-52's in formation headed towards northern NJ.

Probably the first time I've seen a formation of anything in this area, it was a nice surprise.
