An amazing transformation in only 65 pages on WIX. I sure hope someone is writing the book!

Hope the photographers don't mind I spliced these two together for a before and after :)

Wow that one high angle shot, I had to look twice as I was assuring the "time life" logo was not in the corner!!!

She looks so much smoother with the tail wheel retracted. :drink3:

Sweet Kee-rist, Jeremy, those are flat-out STUNNING.

Taigh, you know what? Every time I look at 062, it makes me smile because I know how much love has gone into making her look EXACTLY like she did 68 years ago. And that's only magnified when someone with Jeremy's talent is behind the lens.

Amazing, just amazing.

Lynn

Lynn, I know it probably sounds conceited or something similar but I sure agree with you. We all are kind of saying 'wow look what we did'.

We all have worked real hard to get her to where she is now and that big effort shows. Just like you said; it is the photos like what Jeremy took that make it all come together. I was itching to do air to air to get shots like this and when I finally got to see them I was pleased beyond belief. I don't get to see this stuff from my seat so it is awesome to behold.

Jeremy, thank you for the wonderful photos. Can I get a hi res copy or two so I can make large prints to give to the folks that contributed to the project?

I was hoping to get the thread updated sooner but too much work to catch up on. Below is a shot taken by Greg Morehead of Warbird Digest from a photo flight we did on Thursday evening at OSH. We were able to get a photo flight together with Conrad's FM-2 and Warren Pietsch in the Texas Flying Legends Zero. Greg let me post the shots with Conrad but the rest will have to wait until they are out in the magazine.

It was awesome to fly with Warren and Conrad. Again, I didn't get to see it from my seat as all I got to look at was a stinkin' T-6. I certainly mean no offense at all Trey as your Texan is just beautiful! Everyone else on the Harpoon said that it was a great flight too. How often do you get to fly with a real Zero and a beautiful newly restored FM-2 in the same paint scheme as our Harpoon. It was a good day.

Thanks for the photo Greg

Wow! Thank you all for the kind words! I was absolutely ecstatic to get the opportunity to fly in the C-60 'Goodtime Gal' as 062 and 'Attu Warrior' formed up off our right wing, I'm just glad that a few pushes of the shutter button turned out decently well!

Taigh, I know it's been said before but I honestly don't think it can be said enough; you and your group have done an absolutely PHENOMENAL job in restoring 84062. She looks absolutely stunning and the music she makes is truly a siren song. I'd be honored to send you the high-res photos, I'll PM you to get some info so I can get those to you.

Jeremy

LOL...I like how you think.

In fact, Mrs. K said she'd buy a calendar that had a pic of Ken in a dixie cup.

WOW! She looks incredible next to Conrad's FM-2.

Big props to Greg for taking such a beautiful photograph and for sharing it with us before publication. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy of Warbird Digest to see the rest!
