Absolutely beautiful stuff folks- the shot of the Zeke boring in on the B-25 is jaw-dropping. He||, ALL of it is!
A word about our friends Conrad and Taigh... There might be an inclination to be disappointed that their efforts weren't more highly rewarded, but bear this in mind: neither Conrad or Taigh's shops are on the same level as a multi-million dollar operation like TFL or Fagen. That's not a slight on those outstanding groups- I've personally experienced the TFL aircraft at last year's Doolittle Reunion and they are absolutely beautiful, and best of all, they're not shy about flying them and letting folks get up close to them. But the awards garnered by Taigh and Conrad can also be seen as victories for the "little guys" (quotes intentional) in the Warbird industry- the guys who have invested thousands of personal hours of "sweat equity" into their restorations, joined in Taigh's case by dozens of volunteers, many of whom are completely newbies to the intricacies of aircraft maintenance. It is wonderful and amazing to see their efforts recognized at such a high level. Oh, and let's not forget: Taigh just got an award for using KITTY LITTER as a casting medium. That will never cease to crack me up.

And one other thing: I hope credit was given to our beloved Gary for the Preservation Award received by "Ol' 927/Diamond Lil". She wouldn't be there today if it weren't for his drive and passion to do things RIGHT.
