I don't hate the new artwork and understand why they did it, but I'm still in the Django / Ole' 927 camp. That was a way cooler design and more appropriate for kids these days. The most important mission objective for all the air museums today should be to entice and inspire kids. A cartoon will probably do more than a half naked girl. Again don't get me wrong, I like the new artwork. I just liked the other artwork more.

I don't object to it going back to Diamond Lil as that name has a historic tie to the aircraft and the CAF. That's a history worth recognizing.

The art on the other hand I'm less fond of. I get it's a return to the old nose art look, but at the Ole 927 nose art at least made a not to being 40s era correct. Clearly, Diamond Lil is based on a post-war styled pin-up. It's the kind of detail that just makes it look wrong. It's annoying, like driving into the sun.

That being said, it's a minor quibble. That airplane looks awesome - thanks to all who have kept her going through the years.

I hope more pics are posted soon!
